In March 2021, something truly amazing happened as the Adskills team joined hands with The Hearts Company on our powerful mission in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The Hearts Company’s journey began with one big mission - to provide quality education and a brighter future for those who needed it most. Together with the help of the Adskills team, we set out to make a real difference by building a new school, bringing education and hope to underprivileged children.
In the first year, we welcomed 45 eager students who, before the Adskills school was built, could not previously afford school, specifically English learning classes. It was a small beginning, but the passion and dedication of our educators, Hearts Company Team, and Adskills we knew we could further our reach to students in need in the area.
Year by year, our impact grew. In 2022, we were thrilled to see our student enrollment increase to 80. It was a clear sign that our joint efforts were making a real impact, changing lives and inspiring positive change in the community.
Today, in mid-2023, we have reached an incredible milestone with nearly 150 students walking through the doors of our school. This growth is a testament to the incredible support we received from the Adskills team as well as Chaunna Brooke, Liana Ling, Eric Southwell, who also generously donated 50% of the funds needed to build the school. The support and belief in the potential of these children from all of these individuals and the entire team at Adskills has ignited a spark that has fueled our mission.
Beyond the classroom, our impact extends to the families of our students. As we work to break the cycle of poverty, education becomes a powerful tool that empowers parents to create a better future for their families. This ripple effect of change is what keeps us motivated to do more.
